Description

Whitbank is an 18th-century, two-storey and attic, three-bay house located on Low Causeway in Culross. The building features painted ashlar margins and a cavetto eaves course, with white harling on the exterior.

The south elevation, which is the principal facade, has a central door flanked by ground floor windows. Above the door is a first-floor window, with another window to the right and an inserted bipartite window to the left. The first-floor windows are positioned close to the eaves.

The west elevation is attached to Rose Cottage and includes an attic window to the right. The north elevation is partially visible and features a central lean-to with a first-floor window in the center. The east elevation is attached to St Serf's.

The house predominantly has 12-pane timber sash and case windows with horns, along with two rooflights at the rear. There is a replacement timber door, and the pitched roof is covered with replacement interlocking tiles. A stack is located at the west gable apex.

The interior was not seen in 2001.
