Description

Dated 1747. 2-storey, 3-bay, L-plan house. Painted ashlar margins; exposed sandstone rubble; rendered principal elevation.

S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: symmetrical elevation; central door; flanking windows. 3 1st floor windows centred above. Stone below central 1st floor window initialled 'DL CS' and dated 1747. 1st floor windows hug eaves.

W ELEVATION: door to left.

N ELEVATION: partially seen. Lean-to to W; window to right. House set back to right; 1st floor window to right.

E ELEVATION: ground floor window to left; hinges for shutters. 1st floor window to left.

Predominantly 2-pane timber sash and case windows with horns. 8-pane ground floor windows (principal elevation). 2 rooflights to rear. Chamfered window surrounds. Replacement timber and glazed doors. Pitched slate roof; crowstepped gables; beaked skewputts. Gable apex stacks; circular cans. Slate rear lean-to roof.

INTERIOR: not seen, 2001.
