Description
D Morgan's House is a two-storey, three-bay L-plan house built in 1747. The exterior features painted ashlar margins, exposed sandstone rubble, and a rendered principal elevation.
The south elevation is symmetrical, with a central door flanked by windows. Above, there are three first-floor windows aligned with the door. Below the central first-floor window, there is a stone inscribed with the initials 'DL CS' and the date 1747. The first-floor windows are positioned close to the eaves.
On the west elevation, there is a door to the left. The north elevation is partially visible, with a lean-to structure on the west side and a window to the right. The house is set back to the right, featuring a first-floor window on that side.
The east elevation includes a ground-floor window to the left, which has hinges for shutters, and a first-floor window to the left as well. The windows are predominantly two-pane timber sash and case types with horns, while the ground-floor windows on the principal elevation have eight panes. There are two rooflights at the rear, and the window surrounds are chamfered. The doors are replacement timber and glazed. The roof is pitched and covered with slate, featuring crowstepped gables and beaked skewputts, with gable apex stacks and circular flues. The lean-to roof at the rear is also slate-covered.
The interior was not seen in 2001.
