Gate House, St Leonard's Mill, St Leonard's Place, Kinghorn

The Gate House at St Leonard's Mill, located on St Leonard's Place in Kinghorn, was likely built around 1838. This two-storey, three-bay former gatehouse features dressed squared and snecked rubble with raised ashlar quoin strips, while the rear is finished with dry-dash. It has an eaves course and includes segmental-arched and circular openings.

On the southeast elevation, which serves as the entrance, there is a canted face with a part-glazed timber door in the center, flanked by narrow lights in the adjacent bays, and a window in each bay on the first floor. The southwest elevation has a cart arch that has been converted into a window in the bay to the left of center, with another window to the right and a smaller window to the outer left. The first floor features three regularly spaced windows, with those in the first and second bays flanking a glazed oculus. The northwest elevation has a gabled design with two modern windows on the first floor, while the ground floor details are obscured by a screen wall.

The windows are timber sash and case with 6- and 12-pane glazing patterns, except for the modern windows. The roof is covered with graded grey slate. The property is also surrounded by rubble boundary walls.
