1 Burn's Wynd, West Wemyss

1 Burn's Wynd in West Wemyss is a house dating from the earlier to mid 19th century, incorporating some earlier materials. It is a two-storey, four-bay structure featuring a crowstepped gable facing Main Street and is harled with painted margins.

On the southwest elevation, which faces Burn's Wynd, the ground floor has a timber door with a plate glass letterbox fanlight located off-centre to the left. There are two windows to the left and two to the right of the door, with an additional door in the lower bay on the outer right. The first floor has three regularly spaced windows, while the lower bay on the outer right is blank. Above the first and third bays, there are pedimented dormer windows.

The northwest elevation, facing Main Street, features a crowstepped gable with a window positioned to the left of centre on the first floor.

On the northeast elevation, there is a small crowstepped porch that projects to the right of centre, with steps leading to a first-floor door on the right return and a window on the left return. There is also a window in the left bay at the first floor.

The southeast elevation, which faces the shore, has a lower crowstepped gable with a bipartite window on each floor. The windows throughout the building have a 4-pane glazing pattern in timber sash and case style. The roof is covered with pantiles, and there are harled stacks with some cans.
