Description
3 Burn's Wynd in West Wemyss is an 18th-century building that may include some earlier materials. It has been heavily restored and converted into an electricity sub-station. This small, two-storey former house has a gable facing the street and features harl with stone margins and quoins.
On the northeast elevation, which faces Burn's Wynd, there is a broad timber door in the center at ground level, with a window in the bay to the left and three windows on the first floor.
The northwest elevation, which faces Main Street, has a projecting gabled section with windows to the left of center on both floors, and a small window to the right at ground level. There is a return to the right with a bipartite window on the first floor.
All windows are blinded. The building has Courtrai tiles, with coped harled stacks and ashlar-coped skews.
