Description
46 Main Street in West Wemyss is a row of three terraced houses built in the mid to later 19th century, featuring two stories and ground floor shops. The exterior is finished in painted stucco with stone margins and includes a full-width fascia.
On the northwest elevation facing Main Street, numbers 42 and 44 have a central door at ground level, flanked by display windows, with an additional door on the outer right and two windows on the first floor. Numbers 46 and 48 feature display windows on either side of a central area at ground level, along with three first-floor windows. Numbers 50 and 52 have a centrally located in-canted door at ground level, flanked by display windows, another door on the outer right, and three windows on the first floor.
The southeast elevation, facing the shore, is largely derelict. All windows are temporarily blinded for protection. The roofs of numbers 42 to 48 are pantiled, while numbers 50 and 52 have slated roofs. The building features coped harled stacks with ashlar-coped skews.
