Description
Balgonie Polcies consists of gatepiers and boundary walls that date from the 17th or early 18th century, although they were largely reconstructed in the early 19th century. This extensive rectangular-plan wall once marked the boundary of the parkland surrounding Balgonie Castle. The boundary walls are made of semi-circular and flat-coped rubble. Notable features include square ashlar gate piers with square coping located on the north wall at specific coordinates. The wall stretches from St Drostans at the north-west corner to Cardowrie Loan at the south-east.
