Description
The boundary wall, gatepiers, and gate to No. 23 (Eagle House) date from the mid-18th century and are constructed from random rubble with a coped top. The structure features a rusticated doorcase topped with a pediment, which holds a later six-panel door. To the right, there is an additional door set within a plain stone surround. This boundary wall and gateway are significant as they contribute to an important linear feature of the town's landscape.
