Description
Caroline Cottage is a house dated 1662, as indicated by the initials "TSP" on a cartouche above the front door. The house is constructed of random rubble and has a double Roman tile roof with raised verges and finials. It is one storey high with a steeply pitched stone dormer window in the roof, also coped with finials. The front elevation has two windows and a central door. The windows are 3-light casements with moulded mullions and drip moulds. A modern central door is sheltered by a flat stone hood supported on brackets. A two-gable southern wing extends along Pump Lane; the southernmost gable was built in the 20th century.
