Description
Gattonside is a house dated 1660, constructed of rubble with a 20th-century pantile roof and a brick stack on the left side, while the right side remains rubble. The building features a symmetrical facade, standing two stories high with three bays. The ground floor has ovolo moulded mullion windows with three lights, each topped with angled labels. The first floor contains mid-20th-century casements with two and three lights. There is a central door opening with a moulded architrave, leading to an early 19th-century six-panelled door, where the top two panels are glazed. Above the door, there is a circular stone plaque with raised letters that read "N.P. 1660." At the center of the rear, there is a stair turret. Inside, the house features a broad fireplace with a stone surround that has a depressed arch head.
