Description
Former St Michael's Roman Catholic Church, now a warehouse, was built in 1804 according to records. The church is faced with Doulting ashlar and features a modern hipped pantile roof. It is designed in the Gothic style and is a single storey structure with four bays. The building has pointed arch windows with three lights, simple reticulated tracery, and hood moulds. There is a gabled solid porch on the right side, which includes a lancet door opening set in a moulded stone surround, with a plain plank door. A further lancet door opening is located between the second and third bays, also in a moulded stone surround, featuring a door with ribbed Gothic decoration and a fanlight with glazing bars above. Above this door is a large quatrefoil window. The left side of the building has a four-bay return.
