Description
No. 57 High Street is a house, now used as offices, dating from around 1800. The building is rendered with a slate roof and has three storeys and five bays. It features sash windows with glazing bars set in moulded architraves. The central window above the door has a semi-circular head. The entrance has a central semi-circular head opening with a stone doorcase that includes an entablature and a triangular pediment supported by Tuscan half columns. The door is six-panelled and is topped by a radiused fanlight. The building has a plinth, end pilasters, and a thin moulded eaves cornice. To the left, there is a two-storey, one-bay wing that features an elliptical archway on the ground floor with wooden half-glazed double doors.
