Description
No. 51 High Street is a public house that has been converted into a shop, dating from around 1800. The building is rendered and features a double Roman tile roof with a brick stack on the right side. It stands three stories high and has two bays, with sash windows that have glazing bars set within moulded stone architraves. On the ground floor, there are two late 20th-century bow-fronted shop casements. The central door opening is framed by a plain stone architrave and topped with a triangular pediment supported by shaped stone consoles, leading to double half-glazed doors. This building is primarily noted for its group value with other structures along High Street.
