Description
61 and 63 High Street are two houses built around 1750. They are rendered and scribed to resemble blockwork, with slate roofs and a central brick and stone chimney stack. The houses form a symmetrical pair, each having three storeys and a single bay. They feature 2-light mullioned windows with bead-moulded stone surrounds, and sash windows with glazing bars set in moulded stone architraves on the ground floor. The door openings have bead-moulded surrounds, with a late 19th-century four-panelled door on the left and a plank door on the right. These houses are primarily noted for their group value with other buildings on High Street.
