Description
Balgonie Bridge, located in Milton Of Balgonie, dates back to the late 17th century. The bridge has been widened to the west and rebuilt above the arches to the east, with an armorial panel likely added during this work. It features two arches that span the River Leven. The structure is made of heavily dressed, squared, and coursed rubble, topped with an ashlar coped parapet. The abutting walls are made of semicircular coped rubble. The bridge has two segmental arches, with a central pier that includes cutwater buttresses on both the east and west sides, as well as a carved armorial panel on the east side.
