Description

Newby Bridge is a bridge over the River Leven, with an uncertain date of construction, but it was repaired in the 17th century. It is built of stone rubble with limestone coping. The bridge is long and narrow, featuring five segmental arches that rise towards the center. Triangular cutwaters between the arches extend upwards to create refuges on both sides.
