G.V. II

House. C17 or early C18. Painted stone with slate roof. 2 storeys, 4 bays, the 4th bay projects under gable, a former barn. Windows have C20 small-paned casements, but 2 windows to 1st floor have small-paned fixed glazing with pivoted upper parts. French window to left return of 4th bay. Entrance to 2nd bay. Gable-end stacks. Rear similar; further entrance to 2nd bay. Interior has bases of full crucks to 1st bay, with tie beam and truncated below 1st floor. 2nd and 3rd bays have chamfered beams and joists, the joists with stepped stops at fire beam. Stone fireplace with stone stair to right. Wide floorboards to 1st floor. Included for group value.
