Description

Backbarrow Bridge is a bridge over the River Leven, dating from the 17th or 18th century, with later widening. It is constructed of stone rubble with limestone coping. The bridge features a segmental arch that is slightly pointed to the south, and has a straight parapet. On the north side, there is a plaque that records the flood level from 3rd November 1898.
