Description
Lydiard is an earlier 19th century, two-storey, three-bay house. It is constructed of painted rubble with stone cills and raised quoins, and features a base course.
The south elevation, which serves as the entrance, is symmetrical. The centre bay is slightly advanced and includes a deep-set, flush panelled door with a three-pane fanlight above it, along with a window above the door and a stepped blocking course that breaks the eaves. There are windows in the flanking bays on both floors.
On the east elevation, there is a brick wall that abuts off centre to the left, with a window to the left on the first floor and a small window in the gablehead. A broad stack is located at the centre.
The west elevation also features a brick wall that abuts off centre to the right, with a window to the right on the first floor and a small ungazed window in the gablehead below a broad centre stack.
The windows are timber sash and case with plate glass glazing. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are coped ashlar stacks with ashlar coped skews and scroll skewputts.
