Description
The building is a farm structure at Newton Hall, dated 1887. It features a rectangular plan with five bays, a piended roof, and slate covering. The walls are constructed from snecked whinstone rubble, accented by stugged ashlar quoins and squared rubble dividing piers. The design includes regularly-voussoired segmental arches and segmental-headed openings for the granary.
On the northeast elevation, there are three cart arches on the left, each with a small opening above. The second and third bays flank a monogrammed datestone marked 'GJW'. To the right, there are two taller cart arches, also with tiny openings above.
The west elevation has a blank bay on the left, while a slightly setback lean-to bay on the right features a window.
