Description

18th century; later alterations. Symmetrical 2-storey and attic, 3-bay house with central nepus gable. Harled; dressed stone eaves course; vertical margins at arises and nepus gable margins.

S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: central replacement door; moulded stone doorpiece. Flanking bipartite replacement windows to ground and 1st floor. Single 1st floor window centred above door. 2 small windows in nepus gable. Concrete surrounds to ground and 1st floor windows.

W ELEVATION: attached to 8 Main Street.

N ELEVATION: not seen, 2000.

E ELEVATION: attached to 2 Main Street, The Bruce Arms.

Modern 2-pane fenestration. Purple grey slate roof. Skews and scroll skewputts. Moulded cornice to nepus gable; and nepus gable chimney stack. Corniced gable apex stacks, taller stack to right.
