Description
15 Tolbooth Street in Kirkcaldy is a small three-storey tenement building dating from the late 19th century, featuring a shop at ground level. The exterior is finished with harl and has stone margins, with bracketed and lugged surrounds above the ground floor, as well as base and eaves courses.
The principal elevation faces west and includes a deep-set glazed door at the center, flanked by windows on either side. There are two windows on each of the floors above. The east elevation showcases a variety of architectural elements, including a round central stair tower.
The building has a 4-pane glazing pattern in timber sash and case windows on the first and second floors, while the ground floor features fixed plate glass glazing. The roof is covered with grey slate, and there are coped ashlar stacks and ashlar-coped skews.
