Description
184 High Street in Kirkcaldy is a mid to late 19th century, four-storey, two-bay tenement building that features a shop on the ground floor. The ground floor has a cornice, while the first and second floors have cill courses and an eaves cornice with a blocking course. The building is finished in painted ashlar.
On the north elevation facing High Street, there is a modern shop entrance in the center of the ground floor, flanked by two windows on each of the upper floors, with smaller windows on the third floor. The upper floors feature timber sash and case windows with a four-pane glazing pattern, while the ground floor has fixed display windows. The building also has coped ashlar gablehead stacks, with the western stack truncated and the eastern stack fitted with cans, along with ashlar-coped skews.
