Description
233-235 High Street in Burntisland is a later 19th-century, three-storey, three-bay tenement building that features shops on the ground floor, although these have been altered. The building is constructed of ashlar stone and includes a base course, cill courses at the first and second floors, an eaves cornice, a blocking course, and raised margins.
The south elevation facing High Street is nearly symmetrical. It has an off-centre door with a fanlight, and modern shop fronts on either side, which are accompanied by deep modern fascia boards. The first and second floors have regular three-bay fenestration.
The first floor has plate glass glazing in aluminium windows, while the second floor features uPVC windows. The building is topped with a later flat roof that has a cavetto coped ashlar stack.
