Description
281-285 High Street in Kirkcaldy is a plain three-storey, four-bay tenement building dating from the later to late 19th century, situated within an irregular terrace. The structure features a combination of ashlar and render, with stone cills and an eaves course.
On the south elevation facing High Street, there is a modern shop at ground level, while the upper floors exhibit regular fenestration. The windows are timber sash and case with plate glass glazing. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there is a stepped and shouldered ashlar chimney stack.
