115-117 High Street, Kirkcaldy

115-117 High Street in Kirkcaldy is an early 19th-century, three-storey and attic tenement with five bays, featuring shops on the ground floor within a terrace that extends to the east. The building is constructed of ashlar and cement render, with an eaves course.

On the south elevation facing High Street, there is a painted ashlar doorway at the center of the ground floor, which has a deep-set timber door and a sunburst astragalled fanlight. To the left of the doorway is a shop with a door to the right and a display window beyond to the left. A modern shop window to the right extends to the adjacent building. The upper floors have regular fenestration, with piended and slated timber dormer windows over the second and fourth bays.

The windows feature 12- and 16-pane glazing patterns in timber sash and case style, while the ground floor has fixed display windows. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are broad gablehead stacks that are coped and rendered, with cans and ashlar-coped skews.

Inside, there is a stone stair with plain balusters and a timber handrail, along with some decorative cornicing on the first floor.
