Description

Early to earlier 19th century. 3-storey and attic, 5-bay tenement with shops at ground in terrace running to E. Ashlar and cement render. Eaves course.

S (HIGH STREET) ELEVATION: painted ashlar doorway to centre at ground with deep-set timber door and sunburst astragalled fanlight, shop to left of centre with door to right and display window beyond to left, modern shop window to right extending to adjacent building beyond. Regular fenestration to each floor above with piended and slated timber dormer windows over bays 2 and 4.

12- and 16-pane glazing patterns in timber sash and case windows; fixed display windows to ground. Grey slates. Coped and rendered broad gablehead stacks with cans and ashlar-coped skews.

INTERIOR: stone stair with plain balusters and timber handrail; some decorative cornicing to 1st floor.
