Description

Early 19th century. 4-storey, 3-bay small tenement with shop at ground, on ground falling to S. Polished ashlar with squared rubble to rear and cement render to W. 2nd and 3rd floor cill courses and projecting eaves cornice. Architraved windows to 1st floor.

S (HIGH STREET) ELEVATION: symmetrical. Shop to ground with in-canted centre door and panelled timber aprons below display windows, modern fascia board above and flanking granite piers, the whole surmounted by out of character deep granite(?) course. 3 windows to each floor above.

N (HILL STREET) ELEVATION: 3-storey, 2-bay. Lean-to extension to ground and 1st floor right, window to left of centre at 1st floor and

2 windows above below piended roof.

12-pane glazing pattern in timber sash and case windows; 3-pane over plate glass glazing in modern top-opening windows to 1st floor S and fixed display windows to ground. Grey slates. Cavetto coped ashlar stacks with cans, ashlar coped skews.
