Seton Court, Whim Road, Gullane

Seton Court is a single-storey U-plan bungalow built around 1900, constructed from pink squared and snecked rubble.

The north elevation features a low asymmetrical design with projections at the re-entrant angles that are linked by a canopy, one of which forms a porch. The side elevations have piended dormer heads above the windows.

On the south elevation, there are five bays with two advanced rounded angle bays at the center and outer right, topped with a steeply pitched piend roof that links the structure and creates a loggia below. French windows are present in the advanced bays and the loggia, while the two bays to the left include a piend-roofed rectangular projection.

The long east elevation has irregular openings, with a bowed bay at the outer right that features a piend roof and a French window. The sash and case windows have small-pane glazing, while the French windows have eight panes. The roof is pantiled with red tile piended dormers and an easing course at the eaves, and there are rubble stacks.

Inside, the bungalow showcases mid-18th century detailing, including plasterwork ceilings, oak panelled doors, brass fittings, a coombed ceiling, and marble chimneypieces.
