Description
6 Mill Wynd is a mid-18th century single-storey, three-bay cottage with an outbuilding. It is constructed from whinstone rubble with harl pointing and features sandstone dressings and timber jambs. The central doorway faces the wynd and is flanked by windows, with a smaller door located to the outer right. The rear of the building is blank.
Adjoining the cottage is a workshop that has a lower piend roof and some brick dressings. There are two small window openings on the east and west sides. The cottage has sash and case windows with a 12-pane glazing pattern. The steeply pitched roof is covered with red pantiles and has swept eaves, along with brick stacks.
