Description
Dell Cottage is a mid-19th century single-storey cottage with a rectangular plan. It features a combination of whinstone and sandstone rubble, accented with red sandstone margins and dressings. The cottage has deep overhanging eaves and exposed rafters, along with basket-arched windowheads.
On the main elevation, there is a gabled stone porch located off-centre to the left, with a window and a door on the right return. To the outer right, there is a window with the gable breaking the eaves above it, and to the outer left, another window is present.
The south elevation includes a gable with a window at the centre, and a recessed bay to the outer right with a window in the middle. The cottage features six-lying-pane timber sash and case windows, a graded grey slate roof with lead flashings, and a wallhead stack.
