Description
Laurel Cottage is a pair of mid-19th century terraced cottages that have been refurbished. They are single storey with a symmetrical rectangular plan and consist of four bays. The cottages are built from whinstone and sandstone rubble, featuring pink sandstone margins and dressings, and have advanced bracketed eaves.
On the main elevation, there are two windows that are symmetrically arranged, with flanking two-leaf boarded doors at the outer bays. The gable elevation has a window positioned at the center.
The cottages have timber diamond-paned casement windows and a graded grey slate piended roof with lead flashings. There are paired sandstone octagonal ridge stacks, although one of the octagonal cans is missing on the left side.
