Description
These cottages in Low Aldochlay, Luss, date from the mid-19th century and are a single-storey, six-bay pair of terraced three-bay cottages. They are constructed from rubble whinstone with painted sandstone margins and dressings, featuring projecting eaves and exposed timbers.
On the south elevation, each cottage has a centrally located projecting gabled porch with a boarded door, and windows on the right and left sides. There are also flanking windows. The cottages have timber sash and case windows, with the eastern cottage featuring 12-pane glazing and the western cottage having 4-pane timber sash and case windows. The roof is covered with graded grey slate and includes lead flashings, along with small corniced ridge stacks that have paired circular cans.
