Description
2 Roselea Cottages in High Aldochlay, Luss, date back to the early 19th century and were refurbished in 1995. This building is a long rectangular-plan, terraced range of three cottages, with each cottage having three bays and a lower block on the outer left.
The south elevation features a symmetrical arrangement of bays, with a central door flanked by windows and a wide blank bay on the outer right. The original door is located in the outer right cottage and is a two-leaf boarded door, with modern casement windows on either side. The lower bay on the outer left has a door to the right, while a further door opening to the outer left has been blocked.
On the east gable elevation, there is a later canted bay window on the outer right with a lead roof, and a window on the outer left. The cottages have 8-pane timber sash and case windows, a graded grey slate roof with lead flashings, coped ridge stacks, and cast-iron roof lights.
