Description
Ivy Bank Cottage is a mid 19th century building that has been refurbished. It consists of a single storey, rectangular-plan pair of cottages with four bays. The structure is made of whinstone and sandstone rubble, featuring pink sandstone margins and dressings, and has advanced bracketed eaves.
On the main elevation, there are two windows symmetrically placed in the center, with two-leaf boarded doors located in the outer bays. The gable elevations also have windows positioned at the center.
The cottage features timber diamond-pane casement windows and has a graded grey slate roof with lead flashings. It is topped with paired sandstone octagonal ridge stacks that have octagonal cans.
