Description
The Shieling in Luss is a pair of terraced cottages built in the mid-19th century. They are single-storey structures with a rectangular plan and consist of four bays. The cottages are constructed from whinstone and sandstone rubble, featuring pink sandstone margins and dressings, and have projecting bracketed eaves.
On the northwest (main) elevation, there are two windows in the center and two-leaf boarded doors at the outer bays. The gable elevations each have a window at the center.
The cottages have timber diamond-pane casement windows and a graded grey slate piended roof with lead flashings. They are topped with paired sandstone octagonal stacks that have octagonal cans.
