Description
Lochview Cottage is a mid-19th century building that consists of a single storey with a pair of cottages featuring five bays and projecting bracketed eaves. The structure is made of whinstone and sandstone rubble, accented with pink sandstone margins and dressings.
The main southeast elevation displays five bays. The cottage on the left has a central door flanked by windows, while the cottage on the right features a window and a door positioned at the outer right.
The windows are timber diamond-paned casements, and the roof is a graded grey slate piended design with lead flashings. Each cottage is topped with a pair of octagonal sandstone chimney stacks that have octagonal cans.
In front of the property, there is a whinstone rubble retaining wall topped with terracotta saddleback coping.
