Description
Cleveland Bank Cottage in Luss is a pair of mid 19th century single-storey terraced cottages. They are built from coursed, stugged ashlar and feature chamfered reveals, plain bargeboards, and exposed rafters.
The southwest (main) elevation has five bays arranged symmetrically. It includes broad, slightly advanced gables on either side of a central link bay, which has a small window with a hoodmould and bracketed eaves. There are shallow gabled rustic porches on the inner bays, each with a herring-bone timber door and letterbox fanlights. The outer right side has windows.
The side elevations also have four bays arranged symmetrically, with a gabled bay advanced at the center that contains two windows, flanked by bipartite windows.
The cottages feature 8-pane timber sash and case windows, with bipartites that have horizontal-pane glazing. The roof is covered with graded grey slate and has lead flashings, along with sandstone ridge stacks that have moulded coping and circular cans.
