Description
Thistle Cottage is a single-storey, three-bay cottage built in the later 19th century, located in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. It has a rectangular plan and is constructed of painted rubble with ashlar margins.
The main elevation features an advanced gabled bay on the outer left, with chamfered arrises that are corbelled to a square shape. There is a window at the front and smaller windows on the right and left returns. To the right, there is a simple boarded door, along with a window on the outer right.
The cottage has 12-pane timber sash and case windows, and 4-pane side windows with horizontal glazing bars. The roof is covered with graded grey slate and includes lead flashings. A tall red sandstone ridge stack with paired corniced octagonal cans is also present.
