Description
5 Mill Wynd is an earlier 19th-century, two-storey, three-bay house located next to 6 Mill Wynd to the south. The building is constructed from whinstone rubble with red sandstone dressings and features raised margins.
On the east elevation, there is a central doorway with a pilastered doorpiece topped by a moulded cornice and a shallow strip fanlight. Flanking the doorway are windows on the ground floor, and there are three windows on the first floor. The gable end to the north is harl pointed and has a window on the ground floor to the left.
The house has sash and case windows with a 4-pane glazing pattern on the ground floor, while the first floor features plate glass windows. The roof is covered with grey slates and has straight skews, along with rendered end stacks.
