Alt-Na-Coille, Shore Road, Shandon

Alt-Na-Coille is an earlier 19th-century, two-storey, three-bay symmetrical house located on Shore Road in Shandon. The building features squared and snecked whinstone with sandstone margins and dressings, along with a base course, eaves band, and quoin strips.

On the west elevation, there is a centrally located door at ground level, which has a two-pane fanlight above and a two-leaf panelled door, with a later timber gabled porch above it. The windows on the ground floor are symmetrically placed, as are the windows on the first floor. A later single-storey canted bay is built into the outer left corner of the house, topped with a conical roof and a finial.

The house has uPVC windows and a grey slate roof, with coped wallhead stacks. The interior was not seen in 1993.
