Description

This is an early 19th-century single span bridge located over Gifford Water on Edinburgh Road in Gifford. It features a broad, low segmental arch made of rubble, with channelled ashlar voussoirs. The bridge has a hoodmould and a bracketted string course at the base of the parapet, which is topped with droved coping that is interrupted by raised vertical stones.
