Description

The Village Pump in The Square, Gifford, dates back to 1850. It is made of square stugged ashlar sandstone and features a wellhead with a base course, chamfered arrises, and a crude roll-moulded cornice leading to a pyramidal cap. On the north side, there is a spout set in a recess, and the position of the former pump handle is visible on the west side.
