Description
This house at 24 Forebank Road in Dundee dates from around 1800 and is a two-storey, three-bay structure built from rubble. The central door on the ground floor features a lugged architrave and a fanlight, with windows positioned in the margins. The gables are plain, showcasing prominent skewputts and end stacks. At the rear, there is a rubble-built service wing that includes a later outside stair and a timber-clad porch on the east side. A tall brick stack is located at the back of the house. The windows are modern two-pane sash and case style, replacing the original multiple-pane design. The property is enclosed by high rubble-built garden walls along Forebank Road and Eadie's Road.
