1 Forebank Terrace, Dundee

1 Forebank Terrace in Dundee is a pair of three-storey tenements built in 1867 by William Alexander. The buildings are constructed from coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and quoins.

The south elevation features two entrances with decorative aedicules, consoled pediments, and acroteria. There are single and bipartite windows on either side, with a cornice at the ground floor. The ground and first floors have basket-arched roll mouldings, and there are band courses between the ground and second floors. The first and second floor dormers have corbelled cills, and the rear is finished in random rubble with windows arranged in a pattern of two stairs and two. The original canted dormers are present, and the gables are blank.

The buildings have gable end and ridge stacks, and the roof is covered with slate. The windows are sash and case, with two and four panes on the south side and eight panes on the north side. Ornate cast-iron railings adorn the entrances, and there is a rendered rubble-built boundary wall to the south of the terrace.
