510 Perth Road, Dundee

510 Perth Road in Dundee is a two-storey and basement Arts and Crafts villa designed by Leslie Ower around 1904. The building features red rock-faced rubble with ashlar dressings.

On the south elevation, the villa appears three-storey due to the fall of the ground and has three bays. A square bay projects on the left side, extending through all three floors and featuring tripartite windows topped with a pyramidal roof. There is an unfortunate sun lounge extension on the ground floor to the right. The first floor has two bipartite windows with gable heads and timber bargeboards.

The west elevation includes a canted bay on the left side, with a four-light window on the ground floor and a two-light window on the first floor. A timber columned porch with a piend roof is located in the re-entrant, topped with a tall iron finial. Above the porch, there are two single light windows and a steep gable adorned with vertical timber strips on a cross beam at the attic level.

The north elevation features a wide gable above a large off-centre stair window. An eastern service wing has a smaller version of the same gable. A garage has been inserted at the first floor level.

The roof is piended, gabled, and platformed, covered with red tiles and featuring overhanging eaves, ridge tiles, and Art Nouveau finials. The gable end stacks have a slight batter. The windows are sash and case with a two-pane glazing pattern. The property is enclosed by square gatepiers with ball finials, and the boundary wall is broken to allow vehicular access to the garage.
