Description
22 Albany Terrace in Dundee is a semi-detached villa built around 1890 by Charles and Leslie Ower. This two-storey building features an ashlar front and a snecked rubble rear. The street-facing elevation has two bays, with the right-hand bay canted. The left bay has a pilastered bipartite window with a cornice at the ground level. The entrance is set back to the right and includes an arched fan light above the door. The villa has a gabled slate roof with bracketed eaves, and it features round-arched bipartite and canted dormers supported by colonettes, which are adorned with pierced bargeboarding. The gable-end stacks have been rebuilt. The windows are sash and case with a two-pane glazing pattern. The boundary walls are built of rubble and include square pyramidal-capped gatepiers, along with wrought-iron railings that have cast-iron finials, although some of these have been partly replaced since the post-war period.
