Description
117 High Street in Annan is a building from the earlier to mid-19th century, featuring a late 19th-century shop front that occupies the entire ground floor. The structure has two storeys and three bays, with a narrow gable facing Murray Street and the shop front extending one bay around the corner. The exterior is finished in painted ashlar.
The shop front showcases decorative timber pilasters that are paired at the ends and topped with consoles, along with a fascia. It includes two doors and shop windows with paired arched lights, which are separated by slender shafts and adorned with leaded panels above.
On the first floor, the windows are margined sashes with a 12-pane glazing pattern. Additional architectural details include an eaves course, a cornice, a blocking course, and large end stacks, all beneath a slate roof.
