Description
Weavers Cottage is an early 19th century single-storey, three-bay cottage that forms the end of a terraced row. The exterior is made of painted rubble with narrow projecting cills.
On the east elevation facing Main Street, there is a central door with a letterbox fanlight, flanked by windows in the outer bays. The south elevation features a lean-to addition on the left and a rubble wall on the right.
The north elevation is attached to No 18 Main Street, which is listed separately. The cottage has timber sash and case windows with plate glass glazing. It features red sandstone coped skews that are shared with the adjoining property to the north, as well as painted and partly rendered rubble stacks, with a gablehead to the south that is also mutual to the north. The ridge is made of red sandstone, and there are two modern rooflights on the east pitch. The area in front of the cottage is paved with cobblestones.
