Description
North Lodge and Gate Piers at Craigcleuch House is a single-storey gate lodge likely built around 1875. The building features stugged ashlar with polished dressings and raised quoins. Its three-bay roadside elevation includes a canted window in the advanced gable on the left, with a similarly treated gable facing the driveway. There is a door located in the re-entrant angle, which has a modern porch. The axial stack has a pair of square flues linked by a cornice, and the lodge has bracketed eaves, decorative shallow barge-boards, and a slate roof. The gatepiers are octagonal with caps, and there are cast-iron railed low quadrants along with a decorative timber and iron gate.
