Description
Robgill Tower Lodge is a picturesque single-storey gate lodge built in the later 19th century, featuring a cruciform plan. The exterior is constructed from stugged and snecked red ashlar with polished dressings and bull-faced quoins. The west elevation has three bays, with the inner bay advanced and gabled. It includes a tripartite window with a hood-mould raised over a panel, and the south gable is similarly treated. There is a gabled porch in the right re-entrant angle that has a shouldered door, and a small window is located to the left. The gables are topped with spike finials and ornamental barge boards. The lodge has axial stacks and a slate roof with projecting eaves.
The entrance features chamfered, square, polished ashlar gatepiers that have cable-moulded cornices and shaped caps. The property is enclosed by cast-iron gates and railings that display a fleur-de-lis pattern.
